Former Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM Football Club striker Emmanuel Letlotlo has finally found a new club after being a free-agent for more than three years.
The 28-year-old has finally got a chance to revive his football career at the ABC Motsepe League side Appollo fc.
The club announced this month about the signing of Emmanuel Letlotlo as they are looking to gain a promotion to the 2nd tier.
Emmanuel Letlotlo has been struggling to adapt in the senior level ever since he was promoted to the top flight by Kaizer Chiefs back in July 2016. Despite being a promising youngster who had an eye for a goal, unfortunately, the Kaizer Chiefs jersey was too much for him.
Letlotlo is one of the first players who were promoted from the Diski challenge. He was promoted back in the days along with the likes of Bruce Bvuma.
In order to get more game-time in the senior level, Emmanuel Letlotlo was loaned out to the Limpopo based side, Baroka, two years after being promoted to the senior team by Kaizer Chiefs.
His loan to Baroka was cut short and the player was forced to return to Kaizer Chiefs six months later. Amakhosi released him when his contract expired at the end of June 2019.
After parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs, Emmanuel Letlotlo was a free-agent for almost two years but was able to seal a deal with the KwaZulu-Natal side, Royal AM Football Club.
Royal AM Football Club were still participating in the Motsepe Foundation Championship when they signed Emmanuel Letlotlo. Unfortunately, the player failed to adapt at the KwaZulu-Natal side and was released just few months after signing with Thwihli Thwahla.
Ever since he parted ways with Royal AM back in 2021, Emmanuel Letlotlo has been struggling to find a new club in the Betway Premiership or even in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker will be turning 29 next year. The age is still on his side and can still attract interest from Betway Premiership clubs if he performs in the ABC Motsepe League side Appollo fc this season.
It was revealed by Soccer-Laduma back in February 2021 that the United Arab Emirates side, Liwa Sports Club, invited the 28-year-old for trials, however, the player decided against joining the club for trials as he preferred joining local clubs.
One of the major issues Emmanuel Letlotlo suffered from at Kaizer Chiefs was the pressure. He was under pressure as the club also signed Lewis Macha, Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchelle Katsvairo that year.
Amakhosi also brought the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Enocent Mkhabela, Sibusiso Khumalo and Keagan Buchanan that year. Unfortunately, all those players are no longer at Kaizer Chiefs and most of them did not even last for more than two years at Kaizer Chiefs.
Some of the legends suggested that fame might have one of Emmanuel Letlotloʼs downfall. Even though he did not share that much of his personal life on social media, however, he was seen by those who were close to him.
It was not revealed how long will the player stay at Appollo fc, however, rumours revealed that he signed a one-year contract with the ABC Motsepe League side.
