Former Orlando Pirates and Young Africans head coach Milutin Milutin Sredojevic is believed to have been released by the Libya national team.
Latest reports have revealed that the former Orlando Pirates coach is now back in the market once again after seeing his contract being terminated by the African side.
Milutin Sredojevic was appointed by Libya late last year, signing a three-year contract with the African side.
However, it seems like his time at the African side did not last that long as his contract has been terminated after just 11 games.
The poor start in the AFCON qualifiers led to Libya deciding to release the 55-year-old as he drew with Rwanda by 1-1 and also lost to Benin by 2-1.
Libya currently has one point in the AFCON Qualiferʼs competition, sitting in the 4th position, three points behind the log leaders Nigeria and also two points behind Benin. Rwanda has two points at the moment.
They will face Nigeria on the 11th next month and also on the 15th. Libya will be looking to appoint a new coach before the end of this month in order to prepare for their matches against Nigeria.
MILUTIN SREDOJEVICʼS NEXT MOVE
It is still unclear where the Serbian born coach will be managing after parting ways with Libya. He will however be on the move once again as he is a well-experienced coach.
The 55-year-old has coach a lot of top clubs including Spartak, SC Villa, Young Africans, Al Hilal, Orlando Pirates and also Zamalek.
Micho has also worked with national teams including Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and recently Libya.
While having a good reputation in terms of football in South Africa, however, Micho has also had issues which has led to the Serbian coach being taken to court.
He has managed Orlando Pirates in two different occasions. The 55-year-old first arrived in South Africa back in 2006, however, he left after just six months at the club.
After leaving Orlando Pirates back in January 2007, he joined the Tanzanian giants, Young Africans.
Milutin Sredojevic then returned to South Africa back in August 2017 as he was backed to bring back the glory days.
The coach left Orlando Pirates two years later for “personal reasons” but ended up joining the Egyptian side, Zamalek SC few days later.
Dumping Orlando Pirates for Zamalek frustrated the Buccaneers, which might as well burned the bridge for him to return to the Sea robbers.
Despite having a bad blood with Orlando Pirates, however, the Serbian born coach can still join other clubs in Mzansi as he is the favourite.
Mamelodi Sundowns is one of the clubs in the Betway Premiership that parted ways with their coaches just few months ago. They then appointed Manqoba Mngqithi, however, it seems like things are not working out for the former Lamontville Golden Arrows as the supporters feel he is not the one.
Libya played 11 matches under Milutin Sredojevic, winning six games, drawing three and also lost two games. It was unfortunate for the Serbian coach to be fired after losing just two games.
