Ex-Chiefs Star Siphelele Ntshangase finds a new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Black Leopards midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has finally found a new home after being club-less for almost two years.

The midfielder was officially announced by the ABC Motsepe League side, Sunrise fc, after being without a club since 2023.

The 31-year-old will be hoping to revive his football career at Sunrise fc, who are currently participating in the 3rd division in South Africa.

When the clubʼs co-coach was asked on why they decided to sign Siphelele Ntshangase in the first place, he stated that they wanted a midfielder who has experience and also a player who will groom their youngsters during the games.

The co-coach however stated that there is still a long way to go before they could get the best out of Siphelele Ntshangase as he has not been playing for a long time.

The co-coach backed the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder to assist them in fighting for the ABC Motsepe League title and hopefully gain a promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship next season.

The 31-year-old was once labeled as one of the best midfielders in the country when he was still playing for the Limpopo based side, Black Leopards. Unfortunately, things went South for the player when he joined Kaizer Chiefs. Ever since, he has been finding it hard to get back on his feet.

 

SIPHELELE NTSHANGASEʼS EARLY LIFE

Sʼnongo was born and raised in one of the KwaZulu-Natalʼs rural areas, uPhongolo. He was actually born on the 11th of May 1993.

He gained a reputation for himself when he was still playing for Black Leopards. That is where Amakhosi supporters fall in love with three player and we’re hoping he is the next “Reneilwe Letsholonyane”. It was unfortunate that the player failed to meet the expectations during his period at the Glamour boys.

 

SIPHELELE NTSHANGASEʼS FOOTBALL CAREER

Siphelele Ntshangase signed his first professional contract with Black Leopards back in 2013. He led the club for four years before being signed by Black Leopardsʼ arch-rivals, Baroka fc.

He joined the Bakgaga ko Mphahlele side back in August 2017. Kaizer Chiefs supporters were really unhappy with the transfer as they were hoping their club would sign him.

Amakhosi ended up signing him in January 2018, just few months after the player signed with Baroka fc. He spent more than three years at the club before leaving on a free transfer.

Despite failing to meet the expectations, the clubʼs supporters stood with him and were pleading for the player to be given more time so that he can adapt at the club. However, the player asked to be released so that he can find a new club in the top tier when he can play regularly.

Kaizer Chiefs terminated Siphelele Ntshangaseʼs contract around March in 2021. Despite being released before the season ended, the KwaZulu-Natal born midfielder failed to seal a deal with a new club until the following transfer was almost closed.

Overall, the 31-year-old has now played for Black Leopards, Baroka, Kaizer Chiefs, Marumo Gallants and is now at Sunrise fc.
